Today I have pictures of 3 Pure Ice polishes that will be discontinued ...sort of...
The first polish I have is Taupe Drawer. It isn't actually being discontinued, it is going to be renamed!!!!
It will get the new name Absolutely Marvelous
I used 2 coats for these pictures, no top coat. I really liked the application, very smooth and no dragging.
the next polish I have pictures of is Silver Mercedes. Silver Mercedes isn't going to be discontinued either, it will be renamed as Silver Star.
I loved loved loved this polish because it was opaque in one coat. This is a metallic silver polish. You can definitely use this polish for nail stamping! It does show brushstrokes slightly so be careful with the application.
The next polish I have is Tease. Tease will be discontinued. I used three coats and you can still see my nail line. I think I should have tried one more coat. This is a jelly pink with small glue glass flecks.

OPI Mariah Carey Anti Bleak
Today I have one color from the upcoming OPI Mariah Carey collection to share with you guys.
The color is Anti-Bleak
It is a maroon burgundy purple creme that applies like a dream. I used two coat but I with careful application I may have gotten away with one coat. It did not need a top coat and dried quickly.
Quite a few people had staining problems when removing this polish...I did not have this problem....maybe it has something to do with different body chemistry compositions?

Pure Ice Limited Edition Collection!
Today I have 6 polishes from Pure Ice. 5 of them are from the new Limited Edition Diamond Couture collection and 1 is from the Limited Edition French Trend collection. Please click on the pictures to enlarge the images
Bottle shot first
Left to right: Hot rocks, Sea-quin, Party of Five, Material Girl, Pardon my French*, Tinsel Town
Now on to swatches. I have a cut on my swatch hand right now so I haven't been able to swatch too many polishes as the nail polish remover stings the cut so we have swatch wheel pictures for now. I used THREE coats for these swatches. I could use four coats and it would look even more opaque. I like that I have the option of being able to build up the polish with more coats. Even with THREE coats the polish was NOT thick!!! so this is pretty exciting. What annoys me the most about polish is thick polish....e.g really old polish or too many coats...bleh.
Left to Right:
Sea-quin - clear base with tiny gold glitter with gold glitter diamond shapes
Party of Five -clear base with tiny sea green glitter with sea green and silver glitter diamond shapes
Tinsel Town - clear base with tiny blue glitter with blue and silver glitter diamond shapes
Hot rocks -clear base with tiny silver glitter with silver glitter diamond shapes
Pardon my French* - black jelly with tiny brown glitter and brown hexagon glitter
Material Girl -clear base with tiny baby pink glitter with baby pink glitter diamond shapes

red carpet manicure violetta darling
Euro Centrale by OPI Press Release February 2013
Classic meets contemporary with Euro Centrale by OPI for Spring/Summer 2013. Celebrating a region where history meets modern design, the collection’s twelve new nail lacquers offer a mixture of glamorous metallic hues; playful bright shades in periwinkle, aqua and pink; and creamy blues in indigo, midnight and aubergine.
“Czech Republic , Hungary , Poland and Romania make up an exciting new fashion hotspot,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “When visiting these countries, you’ll view Gothic churches alongside vibrant graffiti murals, blending two very different aesthetics. This fusion of old and new was also seen in runway looks during New York Fashion Week, where classic styles were reinvented with modern silhouettes and patterns.
“Euro Centrale boasts a wide variety of shades, ranging from pale nude to deep blue – and featuring everything from shimmering copper to aqua in between!,” continues Weiss-Fischmann. “Whether you’re looking to spice up a black and white print, or add neutrality to a vivid brocade, these lacquers are designed to accessorize spring’s hottest looks.”
Euro Centrale by OPI includes the following shades:

Today I have 3 OPI skyfall polishes to share with you.
The Skyfall collection is a 12 piece collection named after the James Bond movie Skyfall.
Warning, I swatched these polishes all on different days...you can see
that my hands are positioned differently for each color. It really
annoys me but I thought I would still upload the pictures so you guys
would have more pictures of the colors.
The first color we have is You Only Live Twice. This is a glass fleck jelly red polish. Because it is a jelly I needed three coats to hide the nail line. I am quite pleased with this polish.
The next color is Moonraker. A lot of people don't like Moonraker, they find it too frosty...I loved it!! Moonraker looks very pretty...I really like the mirror like shine that comes from it. It was goopy for me and it didn't show any streaks. Maybe I received a good bottle? I used two coats for this polish. No top coat, no ridge filler base coat. No base coat at all.
The last polish I have to show is The Spy who loved me. This is a shimmery orange red creme polish. I only needed 2 coats for this. It was very easy to apply this polish, it went on smoothly no problems.
Purchase Info:
The OPI Skyfall Collection for Winter 2012 retails for around $8.50 per .5 fl oz bottle of polish. They can be purchased at your local professional salons and spas nationwide. You an also purchase them at larger chain salons, including (but not limited to) JCPenny, Dillards, Regis, Pure Beauty, Trade Secret, and Ulta.
