Wel-Kim to My World!

Nicole by OPI Introduces NEW Kardashian Kolor Nail Lacquers, Inspired by Kim Kardashian

Nicole by OPI announces the launch of Wel-Kim to My World, a collection of new nail lacquers inspired by Kim Kardashian. The line features six pastel-hued shades in white, pink, blue and honey tones that give nails a subtle pop of colour. Lacquers Lights, Kim-era, Action! and Here Kim’s the Sun feature glitter and opalescent shimmer to create an added element of glitz.

“These six new lacquers really showcase Kim’s flirty, feminine side,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “Kim often wears pink, white and other softer-toned shades; these colours are great for creating a classic, elegant look that works day or night.”

The Wel-Kim to My World shades include:

Here Kim’s the Sun

Brighten up your day with this opalescent sparkle.

Kim Konfidential

A honey-nude so stunning, it should be "klassified.”

Up & Kim-ing Pink

Get in line! This cotton candy pink is THE pink of the season.

Nothing Kim-pares to Blue

There just isn’t another hue like this lovely lilac-blue.

Lights, Kim-era, Action!

A screen-stealing shimmering pearl.

Others Pale By Kim-parison

This breathtaking white is the fairest of them all.

“Spring is the perfect time to add lighter tones to your look,” adds Weiss-Fischmann. “Candy-coated colours in pastel shades are always popular during this season. These ladylike hues look great with the blousy tops and frothy dresses that walked the runways for spring.”

Nicole by OPI Nail Lacquers and Nail Treatments contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde. Nicole by OPI formulas are long-lasting, fast-drying, and salon-quality. Wel-Kim to My World will be available April 2012 for $10.99 each at Jean Coutu, Loblaw and Shoppers Drug Mart stores nationwide.

Butter London Bossy boots and Knackered up

Sunday, March 25, 2012 4

www.nailpolishcanada.com contacted me and asked me if I would like to review two of the newest Butter London polishes from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection.   So...today I have Bossy Boots and Knackered up! swatched.

**Please note: I did not use a top coat for any of these swatches so what you see is the polish's natural finish.

Just a little information on Butter London.

Butter London is 3 free; therefore it does not use Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP) and does not use parabens.  Butter London was the first company to provide non-toxic nail lacquer in the united states!! yay!

First up is Bossy Boots.
Bossy Boots is a yellow/green creme polish that only requires two coats. I would not call it a mint green, it is more of a Chartreuse/ Pistachio color.

The next color I have is Knackered up.

Knackered up is a sheer duochrome polish with holographic glitter in it. For complete coverage I would say it might take 4-5 coats. In these pictures I only have three coats applied.

I also layered one coat over OPI Rumple's Wiggin

You can buy these two polishes from Nail Polish Canada.  Along with Butter London, Nail Polish Canada also sells China Glaze, Deborah Lippman, and Zoya polishes.

If you would like to win the entire Butter London Spring/Summer collection ($85 value) you can enter the Nail Polish Canada contest here: Click me!

Things to look forward to:

A review on: ElementalStyles

Elemental Styles  is an up and coming independent nail polish line that takes inspiration from the periodic table of elements

Whitney of Elemental Styles sent me two polishes to review.

First we have is 29 Copper-nicus. This is a duochrome copper/yellow/red polish.  I was going to layer it but decided to wear it alone to show you its true color.  This took 4 coats. Along with the duochrome the polish is also glass flecked, you can see the flecks in the second image.

The next polish is 30 Can I Buy You A Zinc.  This is a  dusty green/gray holographic polish. I would say almost seaform green. This took 3 coats. I could have used 2 but I decided to use 3.  It extremely holographic and gorgeous in and out of the sun.

To purchase these polishes and others please go to Whitney's store: Elemental Styles

Please note that these polishes were sent to me for my unbiased review.  If you have any questions, please see my disclosure policy.
