Today I have the brand Pomegranate Nail Lacquer to share with you guys. This is a new brand to me and so far I am quite please with it.Pomegranate Nail Lacquer is also 3 free and cruelty free so that is ++ in my books.

The first polish I have to share with you guys is Cyberspace

Cyberspace is a charcoal grey polish with a hint of holo goodness in it. I used three coats in these pictures.  It reminds me of Lex Cosmetics Seashell. I like the subtle holoness in the polish. I tried to take more pictures to show the holoness.

The next polish I have for review is I Tap on Apps.   I find the name of the nail polish FANTASTIC!! it's super cute!.  This is a pale pastel blue with silver shimmer in it. I used three coats in these pictures.
I don't think this color works for my skin tone but I do like it.  I apologize for the messy picture..there was a spot I missed during clean up :(

If you are interested in these polishes you can find more information about them here: http://www.pomegranatelacquer.com/

OPI Germany Collection Fall 2012

Thursday, August 23, 2012 0

Today I have 6 colors from the OPI Germany Fall 2012 collection.

The first color I have is Don't Pretzel My Buttons.  This is a beige cream polish that only requires two coats. It applies smoothly with no drag.

The next color I have is Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine!  This is a dark dusty green-grey almost black polish.   I used only two coats for this.   It's very hard to describe the color because it looks different in different environments.

Next up is my favorite from the collection: My Very First Knockwurst. I used three coats. This is a dusty pastel pink that I think is extremely work appropriate and flattering.

Purple is my favorite color so my second favorite from the collection is Suzi & the 7 Dusseldorfs.  It is a red purple that needed three coats. I wish it wasn't so frosty looking. I used three coats. You can kind of see brush marks on my nails :(

Next we have Every Month Is Oktoberfest.  This is a dark burgundy wine purple polish that has a golden/ purple shimmer to it. I used two coats and this polish applied perfectly.

Lastly we have Berlin There Done That.  I used three coats in the photo. I would call this color greige. Not quite grey not quite beige...in the between the two. This is a simple creme polish that was easy to apply.

Purchase Info:

The OPI Germany Collection for Fall 2012 retails for around $8.50 per .5 fl oz bottle of polish. They can be purchased at your local professional salons and spas nationwide. You an also purchase them at larger chain salons, including (but not limited to) JCPenny, Dillards, Regis, Pure Beauty, Trade Secret, and Ulta.

OPI DS Luxurious and DS Indulgence

Thursday, August 2, 2012 2

It's August 1st so I can now release the pictures of the two new OPI DS polishes!!! Hurray!!!!

For fall 2012 OPI is launching two new DS polishes: DS Luxurious and DS Indulgence

The Designer Series lacquer formula is enhanced with real diamond dust, offering light reflecting, multidimensional color. I find that they are more shiney and more chip resistant than normal OPI but others say they chip faster...maybe this has to do with body chemistry/ nail composition?

DS Indulgence, a radiant red-violet with a shimmering, golden finish. Red gold flecks

DS Luxurious, a captivating coral-red with a golden glisten. Orange Cold flecks

No flash, left to right: DS Luxurious, DS Indulgence

Flash, left to right: DS Luxurious, DS Indulgence

First up we have DS Luxurious.  I would describe it as orange with gold flecks. I used two coats in all the pictures and no top coat.

Next we have DS Indulgence. Red copper with gold flects. Two coats, no top coat

These two polishes are in the same family color tree: Red/ orange and I thought they looked quite similar to one another so I compared the two.

Middle and pinky finger: DS Luxurious
Pointer and ring finger: DS Indulgence

Orange/ Red isn't really my color, but I do really like the gold fleck finish.   Myt favorite is DS Luxurious

6 New Shades in the Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolor Collection

Wednesday, August 1, 2012 0

There are 6 new shades in the Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolor Collection that, for Canadians, are exclusively available at Shoppers Drug Mart right now.

Nicole by OPI announces six new Kardashian Kolor shades available exclusively sold at Shoppers Drug Mart. These richly-pigmented, fashion-forward hues include crèmes in bright key lime, pinky peach, poppy red and fuchsia, as well as a shimmery light lilac.

“Nicole by OPI is very excited to bring new Kardashian Kolor lacquers exclusively to Shoppers Drug Mart for 2012. The Shoppers Drug Mart consumer knows how to find the hottest look at the best value,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “In collaborating with the Kardashian/Jenner family on the SDM exclusive shades, we came up with lacquers to represent each of their vibrant personalities and individual styles. The six resulting colors offer the perfect accessory for spring’s bright colors, feminine frocks and reinvented neutrals.”
The Shoppers Drug Mart exclusive Kardashian Kolor shades include:

Strike a Pose - This is one of those coral-y reds that anyone can wear - even palest-of-pale me
Back to Reality…TV – Periwinkle is soft and romantic, but this one can look punky with edge too.
One Big Happy Fame-ily - Shimmery lilac works for every summer function - board meetings, drinks on the patio, bachelorette parties... whatever comes your way.
Our Fuchsia’s Lookin’ Bright - You'd be surprised at how intriguing and delicious this colour is - just watch as it becomes one of your favourites.
Ladies in the Limelight - It's right in between lemon and lime, making it a statement colour that rocks against the colours of the season.
Paparazzi Don’t Preach - Pale pinks can sometimes fade into the background, but this one's peachy and beige-y, so it's ultra modern and chic.

“These lacquers provide a great way to transition from winter to spring,” adds Weiss-Fischmann. “Try Our Fuchsia’s Lookin’ Bright to maximize winter’s rich jewel tones, or lighten the look with One Big Fame-ily for a burst of lavender.”
Nicole by OPI Nail Lacquers and Nail Treatments contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde. Nicole by OPI formulas are long-lasting, fast-drying, and salon-quality. These Shoppers Drug Mart exclusive lacquers are available now for $10.99 each at SDM locations nationwide.
