Nfu Oh GS 14 + La colors metallic

Friday, January 14, 2011 Category : , , , , , , 23

Here's the swatch for Nfu Oh GS 14 ( part of the Nfu oh glitter series).  It is a jelly black full of holographic glitter.  I used 3 coats.  When the polish dried it was not very gritty so I only needed to apply one coat of top coat to make it smooth.  The wear for this polish was exceptional, it lasted 5 days no chips (this might have been because this is a glitter polish).  The removal was a bit difficult (which is usually the case for all glitter polishes) but left no staining so yay!

Icing has a polish that is similiar to this polish called Blackout but from the pictures that I have seen, the glitter in the icing blackout polish is finer/ smaller than the glitter in Nfu oh Gs 14. I wish I had an Icing blackout to do a comparison for you guys =(

Alizarineclaws has a really great comparison for black polishes + holographic glitter polishes so go check it out if you can't purchase the Nfu Oh GS 14
I stamped my ring finger with Bundle monster plate 21+ china glaze millennium

The next color I have is from the LA colors color craze metallic collection.  This is a metallic green with no name, there is a number etched on the glass that is different from the other color crazes I have, the number is either 81 or 18.
This is a metallic polish that leaves no brush strokes and has glass flecks of green in it. It is a very pretty color that required only 2 coats.
I decided to add some fimo flowers from a fimo cane that I got from Bornprettystore.com
At first it was a bit difficult to cut thin slices off the cane but I think I've gotten the hang of it now.
*my middle finger chipped =(
As pretty as this polish was...it was a Nightmare to remove!!!!!!
Look at my fingers!! argh!!! Look at the staining!!! I used Nubar's Nu nails as a base but the polish still stained. Next time..if I ever use this polish again I think I will use a base coat + a top coat.

So....Do you guys have any suggestions on how to clean up my nails/ fingers? I used nail polish remover with acetone..and well..the staining is still just as bad.  argh!  I think im okay with the nail being stained but the skin around my nails are green too! =(

once again.. arGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Nfu Ohs!!!!!!

For Christmas my awesome sister asked her friend in Hong Kong to get me some Nfu Ohs.  I could get Nfu Oh's  from fabuloustreet.com but with shipping to Canada and everything it is cheaper to buy them in Hong Kong..but the selection is not as great as the selection from fabuloustreet.com

 Left to Right:Nfu GS 14, Nfu 197, Nfu, 239, Nfu 122

I have swatches for the orange, blue, and green today

1. Nfu 197
3 coats, a burnt orange, slightly muted/ dusty. It is similar to OPI's Chopsticking To My Story but not as bright.  I don' t have anything that is similar to this in my collection (I also don't own a lot or orange in my collection)

Nail stamped with China glaze Robotika, using BM image plate 19

2. Nfu 239
3 coats, this color is similar to OPI Suzy says feng shui but slightly more teal and not as muted in color; therefore, brighter than OPI Suzy says feng shui

The bows come from a bow Nail Art Fimo cane that http://www.bornprettystore.com/ sent me for review

3. Nfu 122
3 coats, The only color that I can think of that is similar is maybe China glaze cherish...but even that color is much more pale and not as vibrant as this color. China glaze cherish is more of a mint green frost and this is more like a french grass green frost/ shimmer

Nail stamped with Avon Olive green, using konad image plate M63

The wear on these polishes were comparable to china glaze but not to OPI. I had some minor chipping on day 2 that I usually don't get when I wear OPI polishes. On the plus side, the bottles of Nfu ohs are huge! 17 mL is a lot of polish so that makes me happy.

You can see my past review on nfu oh 51 here

Nfu Oh came in the mail!!!!

My lovely 51 arrived in the mail all safe and undamaged =) It was a long 2 week trip from San Franciso to Vancouver but 51 still looks as sexy as ever.

The application was awesome, smooth and dried rather quickly and it is 18 mL of polish...drools.
In the picture I applied 3 coats. You can still see the nail line if you squint but this is a jelly polish so seeing the nail line is rather common.
I wore 51 for 3 days at work and not a chip in sight..which makes me a huge fan since my nails really get a beating at work.

I think every person who loves nail polish should own something from nfu oh.  The bottle itself is gorgeous.  This polish was worth every penny.  =)

** I apologize for the middle picture being all distorted looking. I was trying to get a good angle of the flakies and when I took the picture the angle made the bottle look much thinner than its actual width.
