Just ran into your blog on the side links from another nail blog - saw you had swatches of Muppets - this is a first for me to see anything but bottle shots. I was not a fan when I saw the bottle shots...sad that OPI is not doing a real holiday collection that I always used to look forward to for some great reds of all time. Maybe it's no longer politically correct and there is more $ to cash into the movie ties? But I am, having seen the swathes now, even more assured I want none of this collection - not even one. I liked a # of them out of Burlesque last late fall/holiday - but not into so much glitter now - hate taking it off - it's too rough of finish and I love glass fleck and also amazing creams - not rough finishes like glitters leave. I know this collection will be a sell out because so many of you are major Muppet fans. I am not a fan of any animation - never really was except for back in the original Flintstone days (showing my age here). I was almost out of college when the Muppets hit TV and while I liked the talent of Jim Henson, I had no kids and was long beyond the age of watching early AM TV. So I will leave all these out of my collection. I need the space anyway which is beyond tight now that I am up to 1200+ bottles many dating back to great OPI's of the late 80's and 90's. I tossed some dogs of course..but I have to say, I have some amazing things in my collection that if they were new in the bottle I could sell them and have a major chuck of $ in my pocket. But I love my bottles/collection of polish and am so glad I don't have to hide them now because of nail blogs, I know there are tons out there like me who covet their collections. Plus I collect nothing else so there all you folks who think I have gone over the deep end with my polish!
ReplyDeleteOMG, i must have the glitters!!! so excited! thanks for showing us a sneak peak. i have been waiting for someone to show swatches. thank you thank you!! (and also a little bit of, "curses to you" since it's something to spend money on. haha)
